Bikes and Film Cameras Club Membership with your choice of THREE different cameras: Minolta XG7, Pentax IQZoom 928, Minolta Family Zoom II

From time to time I’ll have tested cameras packaged with Bikes and Film Cameras Club memberships. These are usually compact zoom point and shoots. The idea is to give someone who is interested in the club but doesn’t have a film camera an easy point of entry. These cameras will also include a roll of film and a battery (if needed) plus the Membership card, notebook, and two stickers.

Hello folks! The Holiday Shopping Season is here, and maybe you are thinking about gifting someone a film camera. How about a film camera with a Bikes and Film Cameras Club membership too? You are in luck, as I have three nifty cameras available. I ship fast, but if you want to guarantee delivery by Christmas, now is the time to pick one up.

The Minolta XG7 is a 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) camera introduced in 1977. This camera can be used in full manual exposure mode, though it’s best shot in aperture-priority mode–set the aperture and the camera will figure out the best shutter speed for you! The camera also features a self-timer and battery check. A Minolta Celtic MC f/2.8 28mm lens is included so you can take pictures immediately after receiving your package. And you can use almost any of Minolta’s manual focus (SR/MC/MD) lenses with this camera, opening you up to a world of great and underappreciated glass. (Minolta Auto-Focus lenses WILL NOT WORK with this camera.) $60 plus s/h, buy it here.

The Pentax IQZoom 928, also known as the Espio 928, is a circa 1993 electronic compact point-and-shoot 35mm camera. It features a lens that zooms from 28 mm (wide!) to 90mm (almost tele!) Autoexposure and autofocus with autoflash. The IQZoom 928 also has a few more useful tricks up its sleeve, like double exposure, exposure compensation, self-timer, and more! $45 plus s/h, buy it here.

The Minolta Freedom Family Zoom II, also known as the Freedom Action Zoom 60 and Riva Zoom AF5, is a circa 2000 electronic compact point-and-shoot 35mm camera. It features a lens that zooms from 35 mm (widish) to 70mm (sorta tele). Autoexposure and autofocus with auto flash. It’s a pretty basic camera that will give you decent results. $30 plus s/h, buy it here.

Each camera comes with the full Bikes and Film Cameras Club Membership Kit, which includes:

  • A membership card with your member number
  • Two weather resistant stickers, about 3″ tall
  • One pocket-sized memo book made by Scout Books. This 32 page book has dot-lined pages where you can write notes about your photography
